Walk the busy, tree lined high street and you will glimpse the true character of the area. Enjoy listening to one of Europe's oldest languages. If you are looking for refreshments the many pubs and restaurants along the street will welcome you and you are bound to find something of interest in the many small shops. The town trail offers those interested in history the perfect opportunity to grasp the town’s long and illustrious past.

Outdoor Activities

Golf, pony trekking and swimming can all be found locally. Fishing is available in Bala Lake and privately along many stretches of the local rivers.

There are many walks around the local area to suit all abilities with more serious climbing available further into the National Park.
